ITEMS WE DISCUSSED ON THE PHONE

description

Ron, these are the items that we discussed that came from a user at John Sevier plant. On the first item, I think the users are just going to have to be cognizant that the default window goes back a year and that they will have to set the report period to what they want to look at. On the second item, I do see that as being a problem. I have attached a file showing the report output with the overwriting issue. It appears it occurs when there is a long gads code description that wraps to another line and then is overwritten with a long verbal description. If you limit the gads description to where it would not wrap to the second line, that would probably be sufficient.

Just sending FYI items when I encounter them in the New GADS.

Report program:

Today, May 5, 2011: when opening GENERATE REPORTS, Individual Events, the page opens to beginning date of May 5, 2010. If it is going to open to the current day, why is it not opening to the current year?

When I printed a Chronological Listing of MO (maintenance outages) for March, both the computer screen and the printed version, had the words “1st Substation” printed across the second line of the description of every event.

The GADS Cause Code Description no longer wraps as requested.

When opening GENERATE REPORTS, Individual Events, the page opens to a suggested report beginning date that is 12 months (by default) prior to today's date and today's date is the suggested report ending date. Therefore, on May 5, 2011, when opening GENERATE REPORTS, Individual Events, the page opens to a suggested beginning date of May 5, 2010 (12 months earlier) and a suggested ending date of May 5, 2011. Of course you can easily change either or both dates using the listboxes. The default "reporting window" of 12 months is now Company definable to any number of months desired (e.g., 6 months, 18 months, 24 months, etc).
